If you take the cercanias (Atocha --> Torrejon de Ardoz) you can visit Parque Europa.  Entrance is free and there are miniature versions of most of the main attractions in Europe.  Trevi fountain?  got it. Eiffel tower, got that too.  Plaza Mayor...mhmm.

Note, there was nary a tree in sight...and it was as hot as a fother mucker.  end.
